Lack of continuation requests in Siri

I have been using Siri frequently to make calls, take reminders and send messages to my close friends. At times, I use Siri to check my favorite sports team score or about general facts during my leisure time and most times, post questions the Siri gets disconnected abruptly. Each time, post query to Siri I had to reinitiate the conversation to get the desired answers, so here is the use case scenarios

• Sports team update and creating reminders for the game:  - When I check the current score of my favorite sports team from Siri, I get instant response with the answer. - However, when I wanted to make a reminder about the game's schedule or blocking calendar for the game, the Siri fails to follow-up the conversation and gets restarted. 

• Lack of continuation requests in Siri Siri instantly responds with accurate information on ordinary questions or stats, however when the continuation question is raised, it begins from nothing, and the conversation continuation was missing.

Feature comparison - Onedrive vs iCloud vs Onedrive

I was looking to get online cloud storage option for a long time, however most service online cloud storage service provider in the market lacks one feature or the other and it stops me for getting one. Reasons why I hate or don’t like AirPods Pro

I feel in love with my AirPods Pro and each day I was surprised about its technical marvel in such smaller design. However, there are few things that I do not like in AirPods Pro, and I wanted to detail the same in this blog post. Following are the things that I do not like in AirPods Pro.

• Support for older Macs: Even-though AirPods Pro connects with older MacBook Pro’s like 2012 models, the features are limited and lack auto connectivity feature. So, while I watch movie or videos in MacBook Pro and suddenly, I get a call on my iPhone, the AirPods Pro does not switch to my iPhone automatically. I understand that I can take calls in my Mac through same Wi-Fi network and sometimes when I attend call through Mac, the call quality was poor and there was huge delay in audio. 
• Unwanted Noise-cancellation feature while taking calls: Noise cancellation feature in AirPods Pro was one of the unique and stand-alone option among other similar headphones. However, while taking calls with noise cancellation feature was turned on, your voice might be too loud without knowing how loud your voice was and sometimes the voice seems to be too low for the person in other end of the call. So, AirPods Pro should have an in-built option to turn-off noise cancellation feature while taking phone calls. 
• Lack of spatial audio content and limited availability: AirPods Pro support spatial audio and Apple demonstrated the feature using Apple TV+. However, it has been more than a year since the feature was launched and the spatial audio option was limited only to Apple TV+ till now. There were rumours that other OTT platforms would also adopt spatial audio, and none has adopted for a long time. Due to this, I have not been using spatial audio feature in Airpods Pro and at time forget that such feature exists.

Why I prefer getting MacBook and MAC operating system

For a long time, I was thinking to replace my old MacBook Pro and find new one that can hold for a long time. The most important thing that is stopping me from getting new laptop is the pricing from Apple. Even though Apple charges premium price for its products, the pricing was justifiable for the following reasons

• Reliability and quality: The finishing of the Apple products was always top notch, and the reliability cannot be compared with any other Laptop in its category. Example: If Apple promises that battery will perform better till its reaches 500 cycles, then users can be sure of its performance till the committed baseline and sometimes even exceeding the standards 
• Operating system: Mac operating system is one of the best and it performs all tasking thrown at it with ease. One more interesting thing I like about Mac operating system is that I am a normal laptop user and will not do much work other than browsing, movies and office productive works. With this usage, I do not even care about installing separate anti-virus software and I will also be cautious about clicking links and in-built alerts from operating system. 
• RAM management: Another important thing I link about using Mac operating system is that I do not need to clear up my RAM manually and all the processing is taken care by the core operating system.

One more task list on a weekend

I was working on this irritating opportunity and out of nowhere, the client shared requirements and the assumptions made by the delivery team were opposite. During one of the mail threads, the leadership team requested similar information from other accounts and my manager took it seriously and was collecting some irrelevant information. At the end of the day, the leadership team completely thrashed my manager's suggestions and wanted simple insights into existing accounts. I was completely silent all through the discussions and towards the end, my manager committed that the updated version will be shared by tomorrow and the next day was a weekend. I was completely taken aback by the commitment from my manager and as soon as the call got over, I logged off immediately from my office laptop with the hope that my manager will not bother me over the weekend. Unfortunately, a few mins after the call, my manager called me in the mobile and was blabbering something irrelevant to the work and in the end, he was requesting me to support over the weekend to complete the work. Wastage of entire day’s work due to my manager

My manager had assigned new work for me after a long vacation with the same irritating account team with whom I had worked earlier, and this opportunity had a very short turnaround time. After knowing that I was pulled back into old service requests post my vacation, now I had to make some working plans to sort out issues with the on-site team and milestones for each day to get sign off from each owner. On the first day post my vacation, I was extending my entire day to figure out a plan to work those irritating people and in meantime, I was requesting the offshore delivery lead to list down all queries that require attention from the on-site team and also define deadlines to get those inputs or we will go ahead with our assumptions. I got completely furiousness about this attitude because of two main reasons, one because of the fact that they didn’t even get my mail about my report and another one was that I completely hated to take early morning calls. Compromising work between new and old team

So, after getting insights from the new delivery team that I have a limited role to play and for the next two weeks I can be on standby move to see if there are any possibilities for my contribution. I was looking forward to enjoy my leisure time and this entire plan was completely ruined by my previous work. However, I was patiently explaining that if at all they require last-minute support I have no other option but to support that request due to the priority of work order in my table. He completely agreed and was conveying to me that it requires very minimal effort from my end and it can be completed in a few hours. After completing the earlier opportunity in association with my manager, I was hoping that during my next work, I can work in more relaxed and comfortable way. However, after coming back from the weekend I had another shocker. Both my manager and myself had no other option but to work on the service request and I was completely anxious about the work. The most problematic concern with that delivery person is that he would never support or defend my work. Concern and positives about the complicated opportunity

As I mentioned earlier, I was roped in to support this complicated opportunity with a delivery team, which works on weekends and wanted different representations & my continuous support and presence in all their calls. Discussion about the slide share by me and offshore lead

Since the on-site team was fine with the slide that I have shared to them, the offshore delivery lead was again asking about the slide update in the next call. I was completely taken aback and was conveying to the offshore delivery lead that onsite team was fine with that slide and they would customize it based upon their customer needs. Offshore lead took this comment personally and was again pointing out that my slide was not coming out in better way and he has better slide representation in his mind. Now everyone in the call was silent and to my surprise the on-site POC was again quoting that slide from me was good enough to address customer requirements. Delivery lead was still not convinced and was asking multiple questions on the slide that I have shared and now the on-site delivery lead was requesting the offshore delivery lead itself to share the slide that he has in mind. One more team member leaving my team

For past few days most of my team members were having off days and we didn’t have much work to do. But everyone in my team wanted to show them busy and make it look like as if they are onto something important so that they don’t get any additional work from my manager. So as usual I went to my workplace opened my office laptop, connected all cables and started to play videos in YouTube with my headphones on. In addition, I also had opened couple of documents to pretend that I was working onto something important so that my manager doesn’t assign any new work to me. I resumed my work post my return from my hometown and was preparing myself to work with that most irritating online delivery counterpart. Once I logged to office, I was quickly checking up for any new mails or work assigned to me. Opportunity with nagging accounts team

After working on dropped opportunity, which had short turn around time, I was looped into another shocker opportunity with one of the most nagging accounts across horizontals. After being looped into this opportunity, I was trying different options to get rid of this work and left out of ideas and had to work on this opportunity. On the first day of this opportunity, the accounts team was detailing the expectation on the presentation to be submitted with client’s top leadership team and I had only very little scope in this opportunity. In addition to working with this nagging accounts team, the team had scheduled call at early morning around 7:30 AM and my usual wakeup time as at 9 AM. I was frustrated to the core and on purpose I didn’t join the early morning call and this nagging account personnel called me up and requested me to join the call and everyone was waiting in the call. I joined the call and was not at interested in listening to call and for the entire call my scope was just to say: “ok and would do the needful”. Successfully completed work in weekends

During weekend support for the opportunity I was working, I found work around for Skype not working in my office laptop that I would login Skype for business from my personal laptop to showcase I was working on weekends. Now comes the hard part, I cannot convey this to the delivery expert and I had to make up the story from the actual incident that I have Skype login issues, so I would not be available in Skype and can be reached on mobile for urgent support. The delivery expert was completely fine with it and he assigned work that needs to be completed in next few hours. I completed the work and shared it with the delivery expert for his review. Now comes the hardest part, we need to share our screens to discuss on solution theme to be framed based on client requirements and my Skype had login issues, so screen presentation could not be done. However, the delivery expert found smart solution that we would connect in WebEx and share the screen to discuss and it worked like a charm. Got relief and escaped from home

I had a disturbed sleep for the entire night and whenever I hear rains, I used to pray that it doesn’t create too much havoc to people and was just hoping that it doesn’t create any damage to my apartment. Next day I woke up at around 8 AM and could sense relief as I could see sunrise after 3 long days of continuous rains. I rushed outside of my home and went directly to the entrance of my apartment to check the water levels and found that the water levels were still at knee-deep level. However, this time I had courage to drive through the knee deep water just to escape from the house arrest for past 3 days. So, I rushed back to my home took all the important things like MacBook Pro, Office laptops, Chargers, few dresses and other things. Suddenly I heard someone ringing my door bell and was shocked as I was not expecting anyone and was already packing my bags to native. Reasons not to get pissed off

I was really pissed off when this complex delivery expert was requesting me to do some updates to delivery related stuff and I had no idea about it. I didn’t object about anything to him and conveyed him that I would check with my peers, but it would be nice if he provides the required information. I was checking with all my sources and was not able to find relevant information, finally the delivery expert itself shared the required information. I didn’t want to burst out to the delivery expert, because of two reasons. One reason is that if had burst out, then definitely the information which I required to complete the document would be delayed even more and other teams would raise escalation against me. The second reason is that, if it all I had burst out, I would not be able to work with him again and I have been tagged to the account which is been overseen by this delivery expert. Spending time on weekend

The Saturday morning was over with my unimportant office call and I was just killing time till noon just by watching random stuff in the television. Now I had sense of hunger for my lunch and I totally forgot about cleaning vessels, this made me even more frustration. With all these frustrations my wife called me to check what I’m doing and whether I had my lunch or not, she definitely knows that without reminders, I would never have my lunch on my own. I shouted at my wife knowing that I had to clean vessels for my lunch and I had no other option other than ordering outside. I hate eating food outside as it would make big hole in my pocket and the food sometimes may taste worse than my cooking. So, I cleaned all the vessels and made lunch for myself, after having good lunch I was hopeful of watching good cricket test match between India and England.
